Botanical Gardens

I’ve been urban trekking with Lou Cabeen, the purpose being to draw. The element I notice most in the various botanical gardens we have visited is the texture of the plantings. How carefully constructed the layers of foliage are, how varied in size, color and shape. These urban gardens are also full of fish, birds and surprisingly, amphibians like turtles, snakes and lizards. Also, a good place to capture the occasional human roaming about.
